Scottishathletics have announced Athlete of the Year awards at an annual dinner each year since 1999. Until 2005, some of the awards were for separate male and female athletes of the year. Between 2004 and 2011, there was also an Under 23 Athlete of the Year: 2011 Lynsey Sharp. 2010 Stephanie Twell. 2009 Eilidh Child. 2008 Eilidh Child. 2007 Eilidh Child. 2006 Gemma Nicol. 2005 Ian Munro & Kirsty Maguire. 2004 Allan Scott & Collette Fagan. 

Tom Stillie Award

The Tom Stillie Award is given each year to the person who has contributed the most to Scottish Athletics within the preceding year.

George Dallas Memorial Trophy

The George Dallas Trust annually awards the George Dallas Memorial Trophy to the person or persons who in the judgement of the trustees, have achieved distinction in, or made a material contribution to, cross country, road running, track and field or hill running in Scotland in the preceding calendar year, whether they be athletes, administrators, coaches or otherwise involved in the sport.

The 'Coronation' (1953) Cup

The cup was donated in 1953 by W.M. Crabbie, Honorary President of the S.A.A.A. to commemorate Coronation year and was originally designed to embrace both track and cross-country seasons. It was awarded annually to the athlete adjudged to be the outstanding athlete of the year. From 1992 and the merger of the S.A.A.A. & S.W.A.A.A. the trophy was open to both men and women.

Crabbie Cup

The Crabbie Cup was presented by George Crabbie in 1914 and was awarded annually to the athlete whose performance in the Scottish Men's Championships was considered to be the most meritorious. From 1992 and the merger of the S.A.A.A. & S.W.A.A.A. the trophy was open to both men and women.

The 'D. McNab Robertson' Memorial Trophy

The trophy was donated to the S.A.A.A. in 1952 by the Scottish Marathon Club, in memory of the outstanding Scottish marathon runner Donald McNab Robertson who had died suddenly in 1949. It was awarded annually to the Scottish athlete with the most meritorious performance in long distance road running. From 1992 and the merger of the S.A.A.A. & S.W.A.A.A. the trophy was open to both men and women.

The 'F. J. Glegg' Memorial Trophy

F. J. Glegg was president of the S.A.A.A. during the Second World War and passed away in 1946. He bequeathed £50 in his will to the S.A.A.A. for a Challenge Trophy. It was awarded annually to the athlete whose performance(s) in the Scottish Junior Men's Championships was considered to be the best. From 1992 and the merger of the S.A.A.A. & S.W.A.A.A. the trophy was open to both men and women.
