EMILY DUDGEON

Born: Emily Kathleen Dudgeon, Edinburgh, 3 March 1993. Club: Edinburgh AC. Coach: Stuart Hogg.

 

Emily attended St George's School in Edinburgh and is reading Medicine at Clare College, Cambridge. She began running seriously aged 10 and a few years later joined the Edinburgh Athletics Club. She was the Scottish Schools Champion for Cross Country aged 10, 11 and 12. At age 16 she took her training to a more serious level and has been with her current coach, Stuart Hogg since 2011. Emily’s recent successes have included gaining sixth place in the 800m race at the World Junior Championships in 2012. She is also the 800m record holder for Cambridge at BUCS with the time of 2.06. As an Under-20, she finished 4th in the 800m at the UK Senior Champs & Olympic Trials. She competed at the Commonwealth Games at Glasgow in 2014, narrowly missing out on a place in the 800 final..
